Kanto gyms and the Indigo champion

Last updated: 2026-11-04 · Game version 0.1.87

These nine challenges belong to poke-rivals.com, the 3D Kanto world. The trainer names on PokeRivals.xyz look similar and are a different game with empty team cells. Do not mix the two tables.

How a gym fight is structured

Each of the eight gyms is one lead-in trainer with two fighters, then the leader, fought in a row. Pewter lets you bring two fighters. Every later gym lets you bring three. The Indigo champion has no lead-in. The level cap beside each row is the cap you play under for that badge: Boulder at 20, Cascade at 25, Thunder at 30, Marsh at 35, Rainbow at 40, Soul at 45, Volcano at 50, Earth at 55, and the champion at 60. Spanish badge names in the same file are Roca, Cascada, Trueno, Pantano, Arcoíris, Alma, Volcán, and Tierra.

Brock leads Geodude at 23 and Onix at 24 after Liam’s Sandshrew and Geodude at 18. Misty’s Staryu and Starmie follow Horsea and Shellder. Lt. Surge brings Magneton, Raichu, and Electabuzz. Sabrina brings Drowzee, Kadabra, and Slowbro. Erika brings Tangela, Victreebel, and Vileplume. Koga brings Golbat, Weezing, and Tentacruel. Blaine brings Rapidash, Ninetales, and Arcanine. Giovanni brings Dugtrio, Nidoking, and Rhydon. The champion’s public team is Venusaur 59, Blastoise 61, and Charizard 63. The full grid is the table.

Eight Kanto gyms plus the Indigo champion. The public level-cap range is 20 to 60.

What is still blank

Room layouts and TM prizes are not in the gym data file, so those values stay blank. The challenge code provides friendly rematches at a quarter of the normal reward. A separate system lets other players challenge a gym you hold in Pallet Town. That is not a ninth badge. The champion awards a Hall of Fame title rather than a ninth badge. The current leaders.js uses Stadium-style turn-based menus; the older WASD arena is disabled in the public configuration.

Questions

Does the level cap match the main series?

No. This game’s public config uses 20, then +5 per badge, up to 60. Main-series caps are a different ruleset.

Do you heal between the lead-in and the leader?

The gym file describes one continuous fight. There is no heal between the lead-in trainer and the leader.

Why is there no single-gym page?

All eight gyms and the champion are collected here so you can compare their cities, caps, and teams together.
